Word Associations Solitaire ("the App") is a word puzzle game developed and published by TidalAurum, LLC ("TidalAurum", "we", "us"). The App is distributed on Google Play as "Word Associations Solitaire" by the developer "shuo lin" under the package name com.DefaultCompany.wordtest, and on the Apple App Store as "Word Associations Solitaire" by TidalAurum, LLC under the bundle ID com.nathanlinshuo.wordassociation. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the App.
Summary
- We do not collect personal data. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not run our own servers.
- Your progress, coins and settings are stored only on your device.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process device identifiers, your IP address and approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics.
- Where privacy laws require it, the App asks for your choice with Google's consent form before ads are loaded.
- On iOS, the App asks for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow it.
- Optional purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never receive your payment details. The purchase system (Unity In-App Purchasing) may send limited technical information to Unity Technologies.
- The App does not use any analytics or crash-reporting service, and it does not send notifications.
- The App is not directed at children under 13.
Information stored on your device
The App saves your level progress, coins, daily challenge results, game settings, your purchases and whether you have seen the rating prompt only on your device. Your advertising consent choice is also stored on your device by Google's consent SDK. The App has no accounts, no cloud save and no online backend, so we never receive or keep copies of this information. It is removed when you delete the App.
Advertising by Google AdMob
The App shows two kinds of ads, both served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK: full-screen ads between levels and optional rewarded video ads. No other ad network is used. To serve, measure and protect ads, the SDK may collect the following data and share it with Google:
- Device or other IDs, such as the advertising ID on Android, or the IDFA on iOS if you allow tracking.
- IP address and approximate location, derived from your IP address.
- Ad interactions, such as ad views and ad taps.
- Device and diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system version, and ad-related crash logs and performance data.
This data is used for advertising, including personalized advertising where you allow it, for ad measurement, and for fraud prevention, security and compliance. Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Consent where privacy laws require it
When you open the App, it first checks with Google's User Messaging Platform whether a consent form is required where you are, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (under the GDPR and similar laws). Where it is required, the App shows Google's consent form before any ads are loaded. Your choice decides whether Google AdMob may use your data for personalized ads. If you do not give consent, Google may still serve non-personalized ads, which rely on limited data such as general location and the content of the App. To change your choice later, contact us; deleting and reinstalling the App will also show the form again.
App Tracking Transparency on iOS
On iOS, after the consent form (where it applies) and before ads are loaded, the App asks for your permission once through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- If you allow tracking, Google AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show personalized ads and to measure ad performance across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not available to the App or to Google. You will see non-personalized or contextual ads, and ad performance is measured with Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork.
You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Advertising ID on Android
On Android, the Google Mobile Ads SDK declares the AD_ID permission and uses the advertising ID so that Google AdMob can serve and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings, as described under "Your choices" below.
Optional purchases
The App offers optional purchases: one-time purchases that remove full-screen ads (some also include a bundle of coins and items), and coin packs that are used up as you play. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own terms and privacy policies, and you can restore one-time purchases with Restore Purchases. We never receive your name, email address, payment card or billing details; the App only records on your device which items you own.
The purchase system is built with Unity In-App Purchasing. Its core library (Unity Gaming Services) may send limited technical information, such as an installation identifier, device type and app version, to Unity Technologies to operate the purchase service. See the Unity Privacy Policy.
Ratings
The App may ask you to rate it after you complete certain levels, using Google Play's In-App Review on Android or Apple's rating prompt on iOS. Your rating and review are handled by Google or Apple; we do not receive any personal information from them.
Contact Us, Word Report and sharing
"Contact Us" in Settings and "Word Report" in the dictionary open your own email app with a message to us. To help us fix problems, the draft message includes the App version, your current level, your device model and operating system version; you can read or edit it before sending. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply.
Where the App offers a Share button, such as after a daily challenge, it opens your device's share sheet with a short text (the date, your result and a link to the App). Nothing is shared unless you choose where to send it.
Analytics and notifications
The App does not include any analytics or crash-reporting service; Unity Analytics, Crash Reporting and Performance Reporting are turned off. The App does not send notifications.
Your choices
You can limit ad personalization for all apps in your device settings, and reset or delete the advertising identifier:
- Android: open Settings > Google > Ads (on some devices Settings > Privacy > Ads), then choose Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
- iOS: open Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, then turn off tracking for this App, or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track.
You can contact us at any time with a privacy question or request.
Data security
All data sent by the App, including data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, Unity and the store purchase services, is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS).
Data retention and deletion
We do not store any of your data on our servers, so there is no data held by us to delete. To remove your game data, delete the App from your device. Data collected by Google and Unity is kept under their own retention policies.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data for money. Information is shared only with Google (AdMob and Google Play), Apple and Unity Technologies as described in this policy. Where you allow tracking or consent to personalized ads, Google may use advertising data for personalized advertising; under some US state laws this may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can opt out through the consent form where it is shown, by not allowing tracking on iOS, or by deleting your advertising ID on Android.
International users
Data collected by Google and Unity may be processed on servers in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we do not hold personal data about you, requests about advertising data can also be made to Google directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
October 2026: this policy moved to tidalaurum.com from its earlier Google Sites address. Versions of the App released before October 2026 had Unity's built-in analytics setting turned on, which may have sent basic technical information (such as device model, operating system and app version) to Unity Technologies; the App never sent analytics events of its own. Unity Analytics is removed from later versions.
