Birth Lottery ("the App") is a life simulation game developed and published by TidalAurum, LLC ("TidalAurum", "we", "us"), based in the United States. The App is distributed on Google Play under the developer name "shuo lin" and the package name com.linshuo.birthlottery. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the App. For privacy questions, contact nathanlinshuo@gmail.com.
Summary
- The App has no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not run our own game servers or cloud saves.
- Your simulated lives, settings, achievements and history are stored on your device. Android's backup service may back up some of this data, depending on your device settings.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process your IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostics.
- Where privacy laws require it, the App asks for your choice with Google's consent form, and you can change it later under Privacy choices in the App.
- Any in-app purchases are processed by Google Play; we never receive your payment card details.
- Images, videos or codes are shared only when you choose to share them.
Game records on your device
The App saves your simulated life progress, game settings, achievements and past lives in the App's private storage on your device, so you can continue playing and look back at earlier lives. Names, illnesses, income, family relationships and other life events in the game are simulated content created by the game. They are not a survey of your real health, finances or family, and the App does not ask you to provide such real information.
Backup and device transfer
If your device and settings allow it, Android or your device's backup service may back up some game records (your player data, current life, life history and achievement badges) and restore them when you set up a new device. This backup is handled by Google or your device maker under their own terms, not by us. You can manage it in your device's backup settings.
Advertising by Google AdMob
The App shows full-screen ads and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch, served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To serve and measure ads, analyze ad performance and prevent fraud, the SDK may collect the following data and share it with Google:
- Device or other IDs, such as the Android advertising ID and App Set ID.
- IP address and approximate location, derived from your IP address. The App does not request location permission, but an approximate location can still be inferred from your network address.
- App and ad interactions, such as ad views and ad taps.
- Diagnostics, such as ad-related performance data and crash logs.
Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your privacy choices
The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform. Ads are requested only after the consent check allows it. In regions where privacy laws require it, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App shows Google's consent form, and you can review or change your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the App, which opens Google's privacy options form. If you decline personalized ads, Google may still serve non-personalized ads, which still involve limited data processing such as general location, ad measurement and fraud prevention.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID for all apps: open Settings > Google > Ads (on some devices Settings > Privacy > Ads), then choose Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
In-app purchases
If you make an in-app purchase, payment is processed entirely by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. The App receives the product, purchase status and purchase token from Google Play and keeps a record of the items you own on your device, so it can deliver and restore your purchases and avoid granting the same purchase twice. This record is part of your game data and may be included in a device backup. We never receive your full payment card or billing details.
Sharing
When you choose to share a life card image, video or challenge code, the App opens your device's share sheet and gives only the selected item to the app you pick, using temporary file access. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. The receiving app or person may keep a copy, so please check the content before you share it. The App does not need access to your whole photo library.
External links
Some screens contain links to outside resources or help pages. They open only when you tap them, and those websites are governed by their own privacy policies.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to answer your request. We keep these emails only as long as needed to handle your request and our related records, and we delete them sooner if you ask us to.
Retention and deletion
- Game records stay on your device until you clear the App's data (Settings > Apps > Birth Lottery > Storage > Clear storage) or uninstall the App.
- Backups may remain in your device backup after you uninstall the App. Manage or delete them in your device's backup settings.
- Shared copies that you exported or sent to other apps must be deleted where they are stored.
- Google data: clearing local data does not delete data held by Google or cancel Google Play transaction records. These are managed under Google's policies and controls.
The App has no accounts, so there is no account to delete. For any deletion request, contact us at the email address below.
Security
Game records are kept in the App's private storage, which other apps cannot read under Android's app sandbox. Google states that data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the App does not send game data to us, most requests concern data processed by Google, which you can manage through the privacy choices described above or directly with Google. You can also contact us, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International processing
We are based in the United States. Data processed by Google may be handled on servers in the United States and other countries where Google operates, under Google's safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. If a change significantly affects how data is handled, we will provide notice in the App where appropriate.
